It’s been a very long time since we had a competition at Blogging Tips. Not wanting to do it half assed I decided to make it a 7 week long competition where $1,000 in cash will be dished out to 50 bloggers and over $500 in prizes will be up for grabs. Some blogging friends have also kindly donated some prizes to the competition so every wednesday a question or challenge will be posed and a prize will be given to the winner(s).

Cash Prizes - Competition Ends 12pm ET on Friday November 28th 2008

I recently added a credit system to the Blogging Tips Forums. This modification allows everyone to see how active members are. Credits are rewarded for a variety of things including :

Referrals
Registering
Logging in
Posting

The top 50 members with the most credits at 12pm ET on Friday November 28th 2008 will win a cash prize. $1,000 in cash will be distributed as follows.

1st Place : $200
2nd Place : $150
3rd Place : $75
4th & 5th : $50
6th-10th : $25
11th-15th : $15
16th-30th: $10
31st-50th : $5

Please note that all payments will be made via paypal. If you cannot receive cash via paypal you will not be eligible for any cash prizes and the next person in the list will get the prize. I know this means some bloggers can’t participate but this is where my money is and it’s also the quickest and easiest way for me to transfer money to the winners.

David Peralty from Branding David has offered 2 hours of blog consultation to the winner of weeks 4 challenge.

The winner will be able to speak to David for 2 hours on the phone, e-mail, skype, im or ustream. (woth $240). You will be able to discuss tactics for link baiting, SEO, WordPress management and much more.

In the last 4 years David has worked for some of the largest and most well known blog networks on the web so I’m sure he will be able to greatly help the winner with their blog.
